How To Make Sundried Tomato and Pesto Flatbread

I cannot stress enough how easy this recipe is. If you are anything like me, I like my meals to be easy and delicious! I truly could not ask for anything more and this recipe is just that. To always be prepared, I religiously have naans or flatbreads in the fridge or freezer for when I have to make a meal in a pinch. And as for the pesto, well you will find my basil recipe extremely delicious and easy to make as well. If you don’t have pesto in the refrigerator or freezer, save time and effort by buying ready-made pesto at the store and keep it in the pantry for times like these. Same goes for the chipotle crema, President’s Choice makes a phenomenal one that taste like you made it from scratch.

To make this recipe you’ll need pre-made store bought naans or flatbread, sundried tomatoes, pesto and mozzarella cheese. Now, I like to make this both vegetarian and with pepperoni for my husband because he likes his meat protein but this is completely optional and you can keep it strictly vegetarian.

Take your flatbread to a whole new level of deliciousness by jazzing it up with some post baking ingredients. Once I’ve taken my flatbread out of the oven I love to top it off with a drizzle of chipotle crema (you can find the recipe in my Ultimate Fish Taco recipe) which adds the perfect amount of smokiness. In addition to that, a sprinkle of dried red chilli flakes for the added heat and chopped fresh parsley for a burst of herbal goodness. We are seriously talking layers here, every bite will be filled with layers are goodness starting with pesto as the base and working its way up to the parsley. How To Cook Your Sundried Tomato and Pest Flatbread

Cooking a delicious flatbread pizza is a breeze and a great way to satisfy your pizza cravings in no time! Start by preheating your oven to 400°F. Place the flatbread on a baking sheet with parchment paper or pizza stone to create the perfect crispy crust. Once you’ve dressed your flatbread pop it into the preheated oven and bake until the cheese is golden and bubbly, usually around 12-15 minutes. Once out of the oven, give it a moment to cool, drizzle the top with chipotle crema and sprinkle with chopped parsley and dried red chili flakes.

How To Store Your Flatbread

If you have any leftover homemade flatbread, allow it to cool completely before storing. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or place it in an airtight container to prevent it from drying out. Refrigerate the flatbread for up to 2-3 days.
